An Easy Guide to Holiday Cleaning

'Tis the season! What a dazzling time to be alive. Christmas is right around the corner. NOW is the perfect time to prepare for in-house celebrations. The holidays can draw in different crowds. Whether it's your in-laws, children, nieces, or nephews, these tips cater to all. One thing is for sure, prepping your home will save you a lot of headaches.

  1. Don't Procrastinate - Don't put things off. Start slow and prepare ahead of time.

  2. Take care of the basics - Dust, sweep, mop, wipe down all surfaces, spot clean, and tidy up rooms and high-traffic areas.

  3. Declutter - Decluttering first sets the premise for a smooth clean. It may take the longest, so block off your time in increments.

  4. Purchase Organizational Items - what a hassle it is when it's time to organize and you don't have storage items in place.

  5. Stock up on cleaning supplies - caddies are an easy way to make cleaning a breeze and maneuver through the house.

  6. Don't forget the hard-to-reach places such as behind the refrigerator, under the couch, and on the sides of the stove. Those are breeding grounds for germs.

  7. Tidy up each bedroom - learn how to create a luxurious stay in our previous blog post:

  8. Deep Clean the bathroom - this will be a high-traffic area for guests.

  9. Keep it cozy - candles, plush pillows, and soft blankets are key.

  10. Give yourself grace - family and friends are there to spend time with you. Don't overwhelm yourself with trying to create the perfect space.

Happy Cleaning and safe holidays,
